Community Fridge

Community Fridge is a self contained installation piece that comprises 22 individual sculpture pieces and found objects. The community fridge is a love letter to desserts, Black Culture and how communities can make things happen. The objects include canned ham, Jello, cakes, bananas, parfaits and a jar of pickles. Mixed in with beads, clips, rollers and jellos filled with braids, beads and barrettes. All these objects are encased in a redone vintage fridge. The community fridge was made with the help of my community from helping refinish the fridge, to transporting the piece and setting up the object.
